    We would like to introduce you all to Skeggi the Viking!   Meet Skeggi one of Skegness’ original residents! Skeggi landed on the beach in Skegness in the 9th century, but he has been transported through time to modern day Skegness. Skeggi is still trying to get used to life in the 21st century, so far his favourite things are TV - especially ZingZillas, and his ipod, he is currently listening to take that’s greatest hits!   Over the coming months Skeggi will be staying with us here at the guide and helping us out with the magazine - look out for loads of fun and games with Skeggi who knows you might even see him around the town soon!

    Life was typically hectic for Skegness businessman and comedian Sid Dennis when The Guide caught up with him recently. Sid was brought up in the family scrap business founded by his grandfather Sid in 1884. "I’m called Sid, my grandfather was called Sid, as was my father. My eldest son is also called Sid – it saves changing the names on the lorries!" he jokes.

    Brothers Tim and Simon Jones, directors of Lincolnshire Poacher cheese have recently received the exciting news that their award winning cheese has won a three month contract to supply British Airways first class passengers. The brothers, whose clients already include, Eurostar, Harrods, Fortnum & Mason, Harvey Nichols, Waitrose and M&S, as well as TV chefs Jamie Oliver and James Martin are understandably flying high. The cheese is going from strength to strength, if you’ll pardon the pun.
