Wainfleet & District Country Market

Wainfleet & District Country Market

Full Description

If you travel south on the A 52 towards Boston after about 6 miles you will find the historic market town of Wainfleet, home to one of Lincolnshire’s Country Markets.
Country Markets are friendly places run by the people who produce the goods. There you will find the fresh seasonal fruit & vegetables of the day, plants and cut flowers and a dazzling array of cakes, tarts, pastries and savouries large & small.
The jams, marmalade, chutneys & pickles and fresh home made lemon curd are simply wonderful and taste so much better than the well known brands. A huge range of crafts are available but if you cannot find what you want it can be ordered for the following week.

Many of the locals are regular customers who arrive early to make sure they get what they want. Others just go to enjoy a morning coffee and to socialize. It certainly is a vibrant atmosphere enjoyed by all. Wainfleet also has an auction and various stalls to be enjoyed in the market place, whilst the Wainfleet Museum and Batemans Brewery are also popular attractions and within walking distance.

The market is held every friday morning 9.30 to 11.30 at The Community Hall, in Rumbold Lane PE24 4DS.  Simply follow the signs from the Market Place if travelling by car.
There is also a regular bus service, number 7 from Skegness.
