Natureland first opened it's doors in 1965 and attracts thousands of visitors every year, many of whom return time and time again.

Our three main objectives are:

1. Entertainment
Be it feeding the pets in the children's corner or watching the beautiful Coral Fish or Tropical Butterflies, entertainment value is high at Natureland and one of the most popular features is feeding time for the seals and penguins.

2. Education
Natureland is a favourite venue for organised party visits from schools, guides, scouts etc. and every effort is made to mix entertainment with education by opening the minds of our young visitors to new ideas in nature by the information given at every feeding time, plus a comprehensive labelling program throughout the whole collection.

3. Conservation
Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known world wide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres. Since opening, Natureland has dealt with, and returned to the wild whenever possible, many unusual animal visitors including dolphins and whales, a "lost" walrus and pelican, plus numerous oiled seabirds and injured birds of prey.

Natureland takes pride in it's commitment to the care of animals and welcomes the opportunity to share this knowledge with our visitors.

Opening Times

Natureland opens at 10 a.m. every day except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.  Closing times vary throughout the year, for more information call us on 01754 764345
